Short but sweet

It's still half term for Son 2, who has a rotten cold, so I have little time to blog. But I just need to mention how much I loved these writing tips from the Guardian this weekend (don't forget part two here.)

Lots of common sense from successful writers there.

I loved them, too. Compulsive reading, thought-provoking, and occasionally very funny.

Queenie - I thought those tips were far more use than many similar lists I've seen.

Heather - welcome. Glad my post led you in the right direction :)

What I've taken from all of those writing trips is that there are no rules except the idiosyncratic ones we discover for ourselves.

Paul - absolutely true. I'm not a great believer in writing rules, but it is fascinating to read what works for others and I know I do pick up some tips along the way.
