All work...

A day of work today, punctuated by answering personal emails, running down to the shops and some forward planning. It must be nearly time to turn off the computer and pick up a book. In the meantime we are watching the rerun of last week's episode of The Apprentice as Hubby was out on Wednesday evening and missed it. I love that show!

The Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction shortlist for 2007 has just been announced. I haven't read any of them!

Keep missing the Apprentice. I also haven't read any of the shortlist - slap wrist for me.

I'm really enjoying The Apprentice...the girls have all become wonderfully bitchy already!

I don't think we need feel guilty about not having read the Orange shortlist...I only ever read books from literary prize lists if they happen to be books I would have wanted to read anyway.I quite like the idea of the Chinese one (sorry can't remember the title)...it sounds quirky and I like quirky books!

Hope you watched The Apprentice tonight, Cathy. Yet again, someone talked themselves out of a job.

Just last night I started Anne Tyler's " Digging to America" and I'm not surprised it's shortlisted,...in fact, I'm off to get on with it now. ( The reading, not the digging...)

Not only do I look forward to The Apprentice, I am also getting into the Joseph thing on Saturday nights. How sad is that? Must get out more.

Jackie...yes she did rather! Though I have got the impression right from the start that Alan Sugar didn't like her (too highly educated).

Jan...that one appeals to me. I hope you will blog about it when you have finished it!

Marianne...I've only seen one episode of Joseph so far but could easily get hooked. I'm afraid I'm also an X-factor fan, I really like the musical sort of reality show. So no, you are not sad. (though getting out more would be good too, I'm with you on that one!)
