Back on track

Thank you to everyone who left messages of encouragement on my last post. They spurred me on to write again. Only 500 words or so, but it is a start.

The other good news is that I finished my accountancy work this afternoon. So from now on I will have more time to devote to the novel and I will do my best to work on it every day. I seem to have got some motivation back, thanks to my lovely blog readers and the Novel Racers. Long may it continue.

Three notable things:

1. Hubby returned from Brussels with a box of ridiculously expensive but totally delicious Belgian chocolates. No Kipling bag though!

2. I am really please about how well my work assignment went...finished on time, with no major stress or panics. Just how work should be.

3. The scarf I am knitting is almost half complete. I will be starting the second ball of yarn soon.

Well done on the 500 words - that's all you need to do. 500 here or there and it'll soon tot up.

Stick a sign on your computer saying 'I have permission to write rubbish!' That's what I have above my computer - it does work.

Hi Cathy, I found your writing post below and the comments very helpful and interesting. It was good to read.

I write to please myself mainly. If I get stuck I pick up a boring novel and look at the negatives and think I don't want to read this! It spurs me on to write something that makes me engaged, excited... I haven't found the knack of blogging just yet though :)

Excellent news on the work front. If you don't manage to eat all those Belgian chocs, just send them my way!

Great news x

I love handknitted scarves. One day I will learn how to knit a scarf and a pair of socks. They're on my to-do list and I am being very random! ;0

Well done on the 500 words, Cathy, and glad to see that your little chart has moved up now. It's always good to have that sort of incentive.
